Hehe maybe? I should demand a raise, for working in a dangerous profession!! Oh wait... I'm the boss, doh!
I'll just demand it from my day job instead :p

A lot of the problems you get from sitting in front of the computer can be solved with good tools on your workspace though.
After I went from mouse to trackball, I haven't had any serious problems with my wrists anymore. But there is a lot more I can do to ensure a good working-environment at home, that's for sure!

Mmm, force powers.
It sure has potential, and combined with Johnny Chung Lee's depth of view experiment you'd have a powerful peripheral. I mean, if you're gonna put something on your head to play, you might just as well put some more lightweight excellence onto your crown.

I agree.
The point is in-game sds must be designed for the game.
Certainly, this is most effortlessly done in a modern or scifi setting, but it could be done in a humorous fantasy setting as well. World of Warcraft, had it not been based on an already established setting through the warcraft strategy games, is a world that easily could incorporate the dwarven breweries of Coca Cola potion. Sure, it makes me cringe, but would it really degrade the setting? Or could it add flavour? ho-hum.
If such a company invested enough, it could have its own questgivers, like the brewery master wanting people to find a rare type of coca leaf, per example. ...As long as it's a fun mission and not a grind with random drops. Bah. It has to be rewarding and fun.

Oh yes!

That is also one of the reasons why I decided from the start to make Kybernesis an Independent company.
I don't want a big brother breathing down my neck making demands that will break my game and/or company...

"When we first set out to write video games we knew the damage that publishers could do both to games themselves, and the people writing them, and we were not willing to let that happen to us. In order to ensure our creative freedom, we had to be independent from publishers and license holders,"

So true. Soooo true.

I believe if you're gonna make original games, not copies of what everyone else just made, only with better graphics, stay independent. Bah.
